Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted, even if those entries are for different Competitions and if a bulk entry is received, it will be counted as one single entry to a single Competition.

How will I know if I have won?

The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the draw date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the Competition entry. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed the Prize within 30 of days of the draw date, the Promoter reserves the right to re-offer the Prize for selection from the original pool of Competition entrants whom submitted correct entries to that Competition that were received before the Closing Date.

How long is the competition open for?

The opening and closing date of the competitions are stated on the website and/or the App. If we have to change either of these dates for any reason, we will update the website and/or the App accordingly.  We will only change the dates if we have to for reasons outside of our control.

Can anyone enter the competition?

The competition is open to residents of the Ireland and the United Kingdom who are 18 years or older, other than a select few as set out in our terms and conditions.

If you enter the competition from outside the jurisdiction, then the onus is on you to confirm that you are eligible to enter as per our terms and conditions.

What are the prizes?

The prizes are described fully on the website and/or the App.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value or a cash alternative of equal or greater value. If any details of the Prize changes, the Promoter will endeavour to update the Website and/or App as soon as reasonably possible.

Can I sell the prize if I do not want it?

If you are the winner, the prize will be yours.  You can do whatever you wish with it, including selling it.

If I win, do I have to participate in promotional exercises?

No, this is not compulsory. However, with your permission, we would love to share your excitement on our website, App and social media pages.

Even if you do not want to participate in any promotional exercises, we may have to provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority to prove we have administered the competition and awarded the prize fairly.

What happens if I select the wrong answer to the question?

If you select the wrong answer, you will not be entered into the draw so you will not have the chance to win the prize.

The onus is on the entrant to ensure that their answer is correct, incorrect answers will not be entered into the Competition, but your entry fee will be collected.

Whilst this may be disappointing, you have to remember that this is a competition and we have deliberately made the question difficult to comply with the law.

Can I try again?

Should your answer be incorrect, you are free to enter the competition again by following the steps listed above.

We always still urge you to be aware of what you are spending and not spend more than you can afford.

How is the winner decided?

Everyone who gets the answer to the question correct will be entered into a random draw. The winner will then be chosen at random from all the correct entries.

Why is the question so hard?

This is not a lottery or a free prize draw. It is a prize competition and the law says that to be in with a chance of winning, you must demonstrate your skill, knowledge or judgement.

The law says that the question should be sufficiently difficult that a significant number of people either get the answer wrong or are put off entering.

I have not received an email confirming whether I am right or wrong.

If you have not received an email from us confirming your entry and whether you got the question right or wrong, please check your spam folder. If it is not in there, please email us at support@topdogcompetitions.ie.

Can I get a refund of my entry fee?

We do not offer refunds of entry fees if you do not win the competition that you entered, get the answer to the question wrong, or if you are disqualified from the competition for any reason.

My question has not been answered here.

If you have any questions that have not been answered here, please email us at support@topdogcompetitions.ie and we will happily answer them for you.
